Reviews Summary
Users have mixed feelings about the VeSync app, appreciating its helpful functions for smart devices and health tracking, but expressing significant frustration over frequent connectivity issues, intrusive advertisements, and lack of reliable customer support.
I find the extra info such as muscle mass, protein, skeletal muscle, etc. seem to change from day to day in an unrealistic way. Example: in 24hrs, my muscle mass went up 1.6lbs! Then the next day, back down... a little ridiculous. Yes, I am working out, but in a consistent way, so the changes don't make sense. In order not to stress out on which one is correct, I think I will just ignore the "extra" info by weighing in and getting off the scale before it spits out the stats.
Lots of easy to follow recipes, but... There's just no way to import recipes shared from other sites like other apps do. Also no way to hit 1/2 serving to cut recipe in half. Love how recipes are for a particular model. A few tweaks to the app would make it perfect. Otherwise I'll keep importing into "My Recipe Box".
The software and devices had worked reliably, up until the last two months. Now experiencing multi-day blackouts of access and not able to control my devices. This is unacceptable. The bigger problem is absolutely no support available to help. Very frustrating. Note that to access devices from a third party, it must log into the external website to control your devices and directly on wifi. Also very tired of the advertisements! I paid for the devices and access. Not advertising

I absolutely love the app! We only get 4 settings on the purifier itself, but the app has a "DIY" controle, which gives a few more speed selections. I also really like the timer setting. I use it for white noise at night and forget to turn it off in the morning. It does it for me! It's easy to use and hasn't let me down yet!
Wants to be Google. Their need to constantly run adds makes it nearly impossible to use devices as they're pushed so far to the bottom you can't tap on them without closing their dumb🤬ss adds. The X to close the adds is so small, you're bound to open a couple adds in the process, just making the process that much more frustrating! App works, but adds make it a m🤬therf🤬cker to use.

Not reliable at all, all I have to do is stay connected to the Wi-Fi or at the very least have a reliable set up process. Instead I have a fully functional device that I can't use it all because the app won't recognize the connection even though the Wi-Fi and everything else is perfectly correct.

Loses connection with air purifier once or twice a week for at least 24 hours. No combination of power cycling, clearing cache/storage will work. App just says OOPS Can't reach the Internet. Internet is great. Device is directly below the router. Just have to wait it out. Seems to be a common occurrence among folks using Home Assistant. The folks over there think VeSync is using some kind of polling limit with the API to keep you from using third party app integrations.

I agree with Chase. I have had my Core 4000s for two years, and the app has worked great. For the past two weeks or so, the app keeps disconnecting from my Bluetooth and i lose my on/off schedule. My wifi is very strong. All other devices on my network are fine. There is obviously something going on with this app.
There is a cloud layer put in between your console and the appliance you intend to manage. The consumer expects convenience for the premium price paid, instead, he/she is forced to look at advertisment that defeats the purpose intended. The appliances work fine. The wifi connection is flakey, apparently due to unnecessary complexity.

While this worked for a few days, the App no longer can see any wifi networks at all (including 2.4GHz ones), so no devices can be controlled by the app. Other apps see the wifi networks fine, but not vesync. I've installed on 3 android devices and it's the same issue. Update: after sending a support ticket with screen shots, the response was useless because they thought the problem was the humidifier. The APP is unable to see any of dozens of wifi networks. It just says "something went wrong".
