1/2025 - still not working correctly .GM reached out the last time I posted and it worked for a little while, but back to being a problem. Won't update vehicle status. Oil life is stuck on 62% and air pressure is 39psi for all 4 tires while the dash is showing low pressure because of the low temperature. Who knows if the other status checks are accurate? The remote control features works fine but the app is not useful for much else. I would not rely on it. Very disappointing.

Too many problem on regular basis. Today, when I tried to check for recalls, it took me to a web page and is asking for a VIN number and other details about my car. Why? I was already signed in and have the car added. Now, there's no way to get past this message, even if I completely close the app and return. The app is completely useless at this point. Other issues: sending commands to a 2025 model year EV takes about 1 minute - that's too long. The long press option for commands is bad UI...

Update 12/27/24 * OnStar support is a joke. Vehicle status values continue to NOT update. * Vehicle status info such as Tire Pressure, Miles driven, Fuel level stopped updating a day after I drove the car off the lot. I can't get anyone to help other than giving usual logout and log back in, uninstall app and reinstall type steps (I tried those and they didn't work). OnStar plays a role in making all this work, but you can't get their Tech Support to answer the phone. Very disappointed.

**Edit on 12/13/24....YET AGAIN, more issues with the app not working. It wont even open now. It just keeps spinning...think it may be time to buy a different car. I pay for this app to be able to use it. Yet it doesnt work and I get no refund for the time it doesnt work. I am giving away free money over here! Anyone else want some? 6/23/24 I don't know how many more times they're going to change the app and cause me to keep logging in everytime! Seriously!

Here I am one year later and my original review still works perfectly: I keep having the problem where the app randomly decides to no longer update the charge status of my car. It says it's updating for a minute or so but then gives up and shows the charge level from days ago. I can still see the car's location and control things like the door locks and lights but the charge level doesn't update.

This is too important of an app to function the way it does. It frequently won't work (just spins forever), it's very slow to connect to my vehicle and update charge status and climate info, and the Trusted Device profile unlock feature is so ridiculously slow that it's completely useless. I can unlock the infotainment system 15 times in the time it would take for the auto unlock to work. Seriously GM, you need to be WAY better for an app that controls our vehicle...

Updating from 1 to 3 stars after the prompt developer response and an updated app. The app works now, though it's sluggish and has crashed a couple of times, though I can restart after a few seconds. It has omissions... cannot set max charge for the vehicle (blames the charger?) whereas I can on the dashboard. I haven't tried all features, like radio presets or remote start. My closing words remain: GM depending on a flawed app for "onboarding" contributed to a terrible purchase experience.

Unable to edit charge state in route planner as there is no "save" button and if you back out it resets to current battery state. It'll only update the status of your vehicle 30% of the time and it takes forever to do so. Even on 5G equipped vehicles. Why do you make it so slow? A paid service should be better. There have been several issues on and off through the years but recently it is just been horrible. It constantly freezes, it won't open, it doesn't show correct information, and it doesn't always show the correct location of my vehicle. For what I pay for this app, this is inexcusable.. very very disappointed.

Another update. New car, new OnStar subscription. New functions work but everything takes much longer to take effect on my Equinox EV than it did on my Bolt. If the 5 things on the My Vehicle panel, 3 are useless and one, the charge status, takes so long to update I may as well go out to the car and look. So if I'm doing anything on the app other than precondition, in hunting for a different page. This kind of thing is why I won't be renewing the subscription when the free period ends
