Apartment List

It seems to be great for finding exact matches, but not much else. Trying to find an apartment in more rural towns is proving difficult, and not even this app is capable of doing that. It's a game of typing in surrounding cities and hoping the app will actually give me results, and so far I'm not finding much of anything

They need to add an option for the exact number of bedrooms, because "1,2,3+" is not good enough because most groups of roomates have very specific bedroom number requirements. There should be an option for bigger groups to enter the exact amount of bedrooms they need. But this app is much more user friendly than most other apartment apps. I love how tailored the results are. Plus the UI makes things feel very pleasurable rather than stressful. Good job to the graphic design team!

It's good, but a lot of apartments have images and virtual tours of the community, more so than actual pictures or tour of the apartment you'll be renting. It gets frustrating seeing gyms and pools and little to no images of the actual living environment. I also feel it should have an "upcoming appointments" section to see the dates and times for in person tours.

This app has very very little options. I gave very reasonable and few filters and chose a LARGE amount of cities I open to and it came up with 1 option, and it fit NONE of the filters unironically. And it's always trying to give options for Oakland (in which was NOT on my city list) so unless you'd like to live in Oakland, I dont recommend this app. It also unsaves the apartments you heart randomly, and its buggy.

Wish I could enjoy this app. But it's built by idiots. Main issue, which literally every other service can do: you cannot actually filter listings by your exact needs. At all, I've tried. It will say something like, here's a list of exact matches, then show you nothing but apartments that are up to $500 out of your budget, and don't have the amenities you put in as necessary. Whoever made this had a love affair with the aesthetic of dating apps, and forgot to make the app actually useful. Boooo

Great app for viewing specials and comparing prices, especially if you're only interested in a few places. My biggest gripe, however, is the lack of flexibility in viewing. There are communities that weren't in my budget during my first run-through, that are in budget now, but I can't just search them up and add it to my list. I have to scroll through my disliked list until I find it. Things like that make it not as user-friendly as some other apps.

The style of the app is nice and I like the "tinder" method of cycling through options. Though I can't give 5 stars simply because the app works about 1/5 of the time. The navigation tabs rarely work, sometimes requiring them to be tapped repeatedly to accept input. Most of the time, the app just goes blank or crashes or flickers between pages. Really want to like this app as the website is really nice but they have some work to do on the big and performance first

A great way to search for apartments that I didn't see listed on CL, FB, or any other websites. They ask all the right questions, and I've had responses from locations much faster than when i reach out on my own. Only suggestion is that they should make the "already passed on" section ascending from most recent pass... it would be nice to swipe no, then be able to immediately change your mind and go back. Or just an undo button!

Better than all the other rental apps around! Notifies you of properties that have all the options you need and want, and best of all, they are properties you have not seen or checked before! I have deleted my 5 other rental finder apps and accounts that constantly send me duplicates and not pet friendly listings. I will never go back to them either. Thank you Apartment List! You are everything I was searching for!

So convenient and effective! I love that it asks you all your preferences first, then finds your best matches and categorizes them so you can compare and contrast easily. The information is up-to-date. I wish I'd had this when I was looking last year! It helps make something incredibly stressful into something that's almost fun. I started looking last night and I've already been contacted by a few of my top picks and had my questions answered. Impressive!
