Review Summary
People do not like the TurboTenant app for renters due to frequent crashes, the app failing to load, high payment fees, and difficulty in completing tasks, although a small number of users find it easy to use and convenient when it works.
Recently downloaded because I'm renting a place, and the landlord uses this to facilitate rent. I'm using a Galaxy S24 Ultra, and the app comes up with logo screen (lower case t with three lines on the left side) and a blue background, but that's it. Doesn't finish loading anything else, can't login, can't do anything.
This app charges 3.49% to use your debit card or credit card. To access your bank account, which is free, they go through another app called plaid. This seems to not beneficial to the tenants. I am not comfortable with all this, but hands are tied now. I strongly suggest landlords not use this app for their tenants.

Thank you for your feedback. We can see how the process can be confusing. We use Plaid's integration to enable renters to securely connect their bank account and pay charges specified in their lease. We don't want you to feel like your hands are tied. Please check with your landlord about how payments are made and do what is best for you.
I have used this app for over a year. But 2025 it no longer even opens. I have uninstall & reinstalled. Still does not work. Very disappointed. I see others are having the same issue.
I've had this app for 8 months, first few months it worked flawlessly. Now, all I ever get is a loading screen and can never get the app to actually open to make my payments or communicate via the app.
I have 2024 Motorola Stylus and the app apparently does not function with my phone. Got the application for a rental filled out but it won't let me finish and send it to the landlord. Also, I tried to search for any other rentals and it came back saying there weren't any, Γ©ven though the web site still has it listed. I tried un-/reinstalling and still nothing... After 2 days I have deleted permanently.
App doesn't work. Use the website they say. You pay the fees for your landlords QuickBooks basically. Edit: I'm responding to the help I received.I was told if the app doesn't work to go online to pay, see if that works. I don't enjoy being a lab rat , diagnosing your app, then still letting landlord pass cost of app onto tennant. And it really instills trust when the app YOU created for ease, has only caused hiccups ,and issues.Disgusting, I do NOT recommend anyone entertain this .

Wells Fargo or TurboTenant screw up a payment. Wells Fargo shows the payment made 12/23/2024 and TurboTenant does not show it at 12/26 while it sent me a confirmation and did show it as paid at the time of the payment was initiated. So at 11/26 I paid again but remembered me paying so I did check and yes I had paid. So TurboTenant or Wells Fargo did screw up and I believe it is TurboTenant and not the bank but if I am wrong will be happy to change the rating.
I just installed this app on my samsung galaxy s22 ultra phone and can't get past the initial 4 splash screens to get to the actual dashboard. It just stops there. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Same issue. I'm going to try on iPhone to see if I get a different outcome. So far, very disappointed.
Pictures Documents and Videos do not load or crash 100% of the time. Need option to download pictures to share with contractors.
The app keeps crashing when I try to look at my documents.
