Users have mixed feelings about the Hubspace app; while it offers convenient features and stable connectivity for some, others experience significant issues such as difficulty with WiFi connections, unreliable scheduling for groups of devices, frequent disconnections, and frustrating bugs.
Rating upgraded. Seems a service outage for the app prevented my new devices from connecting. Now I am able to setup and connect the lights. Current rating is because I'm concerned the app is not very robust. I set a schedule for the lights to cycle through holiday colors, but they never change. Just red all the time. Also I'm not able to set a schedule for a group(or room) of lights. I have to set each light individually. All very flaky.

Alaexa integration does not work, which was one of the biggest reasons we chose this light. Goes to a page with the following error: NoSuchKey The specified key does not exist. The other parts of the app seem to work fine though. UPDATE: I was not able to add the Alexa integration via the Hubspace app. Instead, I went into the Alexa app and then went into skills. Then search for the Hubspace skill and add that. Now Alexa integration works. Still not a great app experience.

Works on GrapheneOS, but I get a notification about it trying to use the Play Integrity API everytime I launch the app, which is annoying and seems unnecessary. The app also advertises "Special Offers," which loads after half a second, and displaces the controls for the devices by a finger press. That bug has caused me to accidentally turn off the wrong device before. Other than that, works decently well.
Almost every other smart device app I've ever used has been plagued with connectivity problems and is hard to use the way I want them to. After using this app (for a few years now) and the devices linked to it, I have absolutely zero complaints. It works well, stays connected to my devices, doesn't log me out and stop sending me notifications, and offers features that I actually use. Great app!
these lights were on sale so I decided to check them out. I'm really glad I did. you can individually control multiple lights from the app including brightness, color, in a few different settings to fade from one color into another. I haven't used it yet but you can set a timer for the lights to turn on and off individually too. great product.
It's nice being able to control your lights from all different rooms of the house, but the lights flicker. A lot. I don't know if this is because of the bulbs themselves, or where I put them (my house is old, so I don't know). It also doesn't have a good party setting. It has strobe settings, but none of them go fast enough, and the ones that do are only in white. Kinda a bummer
If multiple dimmers are ganged together in one box, it is not able to make the initial connection. It requires physically separating the dimmers, and setting up the connection with only one dimmer receiving power at a time. Apparently the devices interfere with each other on initial Bluetooth connection. Once they are setup, they can then all be connected together and work through the wifi connection ok. The instructions should include this warning.
Thanks for the reply! I was really excited to get these smart lights! Then I discovered the schedule feature, and that's when the disappointment set in. Took a minute to figure out how the presets worked; tried to mimic sunrise at an earlier hour, but while you can set the presets to 1% (a really soft light, perfect to wake up to) ... It always turns on right away at 100%. Kind of shocking at 5:30 am. Tried everything I could, but still turns on right away at 100%.

Hi! We're aware of the issue you're seeing - it happens on some of the lights. We're working on a fix and when it's ready (sorry, I don't have a date right now...) your lights will automatically download and install the update and it'll work properly after that. For now, use the "Wake up" sequence for the light and it should do what you want. -JG
Honestly I was expecting to be disappointed with this app. It seems like apps nowadays bombards you with ads coupled with a user interface that doesnt work half the time. But like I said, I was expecting to be disappointed. This app is so convenient and easy to use, im able to link multiple phones in my household too. The fact I'm able to link my Alexa to my lights is very convenient, especially when coming home from the bar.
Bought last year specifically for Christmas tree lights was a pain to get it connected but finally success. Put it away for this year to use again & after much frustration the plug won't connect to the app. However, it keeps saying power is off when I have it plugged in and the lights on the tree are working. Argh!!!!! Done with this product, don't buy! After waiting a couple of hours, tried again as recommended due to issues stated by Hubspace & app finally connected with the plug & it works.
