People generally do not like the AAA Mobile app, citing issues with logging in, frequent crashes, poor navigation, unreliable roadside assistance, excessive battery usage, and inaccurate driving assessments, although a few users appreciate its security features and useful travel tools.
About 1 am every few nights, the app sends a notification that says "monitoring journeys" and causes my Spotify to stop working. This is a problem because I sleep to my Spotify, so when it goes off, I wake up. My phone is on sleep mode so I'm not supposed to get notifications, and why is it doing it when I'm not even in the car? I wasn't going to leave a negative review for this reason. I actually contacted the developer 2 months ago about this and have yet to receive any feedback or follow up.

Figured it out. Finish doing anything with your phone before you get in the car. There is a short period of time where even if you ended your call or turned tracking back on, it will flag you as distracted driving. Do all of that well before you leave and put your phone in airplane mode. If someone texts or calls you even if you don't answer, it will flag you. I just hope the discount is substantial. I don't mind the extra effort to demonstrate being a safe driver if it pays off.

Update 12/2024 : Over a year later and this app still sucks. It's even worse than before. Now I can't even log in. Cannot get it to configure. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times. It just runs through the "configuing you experience" bar and then flasshes to another screen but then starts over. I have been trying for days with no luck.

This APP is truly one of the WORST APPS IN THE PLAY STORE! No matter what you try to do it always can't load the page. You just keep getting an error message and reload to the error page again! Even something as simple as trying to get to your profile page. No matter what I've tried I can't do anything or get anywhere on the AAA App. Other people must be having the same problem with this App. Becuz it's truly USELESS! If I could do zero stars I would cuz it don't deserve even ONE STAR!!
The AAA app is a wonderful tool. While I do miss the actual travel books.... a digital copy is available to peruse online. When traveling, I've used the app to check on nearby hotels and gas stations. I like being able to monitor my credit card through the app as well. (The extra security features can be cumbersome, but I can appreciate the extra level of steps to help keep my information safe. )

searching for hotels For an upcoming trip. the app does not save the trip itinerary and if you accidentally hit the back button it takes you all the way out and you have to start all over again. this is a simple fix within the app. please fix it so the app is actually functional for trip planning without extreme aggravation and eventually just leaving the app.

A membership well worth getting! Three tows per year, free up to 100 miles! No hidden cost like hookup fees. It beats all roadside policies through any auto insurance I've had. No lie! It's worth it's weight in gold! Compare it to your insurance roadside policy, and see the truth I speak! It offers waaay more! You would think roadside asistence would be a part of your insurance policy automatically without a fee. Not! This is a winner!

I have placed three roadside assistance requests through the AAA app and have never received an accurate ETA. The estimated time counts down to zero without providing any real updates. The app claims it will notify you when your request is assigned to a service provider, but that has never happened in my experience. On one occasion, my request was canceled by the driver, and I was never informed. I am extremely disappointed with the app's performance.

Not sure why I get a low ratings for using the Bluetooth hands free feature but it's okay to talk to people who are physically in the vehicle and listen to music. The app does not take into account streets with speed limits of 45 -55mph. All streets are not under 40mph. I appreciate the concept of the app but it makes it difficult to get a better insurance rate. Bumpy roads are also out of my control. Should focus on monitoring fast acceleration and hard braking and not using Bluetooth.
Good luck trying to book a hotel. A lot of times after you select at the end "book room" it shows you an error information. Then you have to enter your whole information over and over again. Tried several times. Didn't work. Updated the app to see if this fixes the error and now I can't even sign in anymore. Had to go to the website where I also tried booking the room 3 times and finally the next morning, when I tried again it worked. Still cannot sign into the app.
