Pinterest

I have been a huge fan of this app for years, but like everything else, it's been destroyed by ads. The search brings up nothing but shopping options. I'm looking for inspiration, not to buy everything. I've tried hiding the ads, telling them not to show them to me, etc... it improves my feed for about a week and then we're right back to ads, ads, and more ads. It's a shame because it used to be my favorite app.

Dang. Used to love this app. Got back on after a couple years hiatus. Now realizing the INSANE amount of ads. I tried looking up a designer and the first 16 posts were unrelated fast fashion sponsored posts. I counted them! That's on top of the top banner linking you to /more/ ads. And then every three pins is a sponsored post. Pretty frustrating to curate boards when all you see are ads. Un-installed. Will have to find another way to curate links and images:/

Pinterest is a very good app for putting things together and having different styles. It's very fun to use, you can create many different pins and boards and create collages. I have an idea that you guys should add is, there should be a search bar when you are trying to sort a image/ video in a certain pin because it takes awhile to scroll through all of your pin boards. Next sometimes when making a collage it lags really bad and doesn't let me save it this becomes a big issue for hard work.

It is easy to find everything that I seek for information, inspiration, and new trends. My only frustration is blocking material I personally find socially unacceptable. I would think that based on my pin/search history, the algorithms would detect that I don't or haven't shown interest in certain material. UPDATE: 12/2024 - Since my first review, my opinions have not wavered much. Since acclimating to improved app enhancements and features, I have been enjoying the advantages more.

The ads and Ai are overrunning the site. I can't find good crochet patterns anymore as everything is just ai and ads. And its getting to the point that you can't tell whats ai or not so you can pick out a pattern, make it, and turns out it was just ai. It doesn't fit, doesn't work, and you just wasted days of your time. Very upsetting as I've been using the site for over a decade. Whatever has happened recently with what's being pushed is a disaster. Hope I can find something better soon.

Love the app itself, but the reports / violations thing is bs. I've had things get taken off of my FOOD board for ridiculously unrelated " violations." How are images of FOOD being flagged as adult content? Meanwhile, I see things that honestly SHOULD be taken down staying up, including some of the redbubble ads I was getting. it's annoying, if I didn't love the app so much I'd probably uninstall it. Update: still a massive issue with this. If anything it's worse.

There's always something that catches my attention like diy projects or recipes I've tried some and mmmm the crusted chicken breast with Parmesan cheese. Old recipes as the generation of certain times the recipe changes for the family as they grow so they add something or take ingredients.. no disrespect to our elders. They took like something new to eat, it's all good. Thanks Pinterest 🙆

This is an app made for ads. It is unusable. They've injected ads into literally every empty space that exists in the app. If you're reading this and considering downloading this app, DON'T. Just use the desktop site and install an adblocker. There is literally no point in having this app unless you want to look at ads. If that's the case, then by all means, get the app and enjoy your ads. But if you want to look for ideas on anything at all, you won't find it with the Pinterest app. I promise.

Love(d) this app. Haven't been on in a few years, but holy cow, did it change ... What happened!? It's almost 100% ads and shop links now. Nearly unusable. I used to find some unique blogs/articles/ideas not found in most of the big search engines and was hoping it was still a good place for unique takes, but now I see it's no longer Pintrest, it's Pintrash.

Personally I love the app a great way to draw or learn or etc. Pinterest is a great app tho something did happen. I had a board with drawing references and I left the app then I came back and that board with most of my references (about 25 to 30 ) was just gone. I was a bit sad about it. But besides Everything else was just...PERFECT I love it.
