People generally do not like the myGMC app, citing issues with logging in, poor functionality, slow response times, and multiple cases where features or the app itself is completely unusable, especially after updates.
It is completely ridiculous that this app still will not work with Google Assistant and you still have not fixed this feature! Tired of hearing bs excuses. Still not fixed after 2 years, Jan 25. This was a feature you advertised! Received a reply and corresponded with management. They have no clue if or when this will be back. FORD's connectivity seems to be much better. BUY A FORD!

I went from a Ford and was very disappointed by this app. On the Ford, you can set times for your vehicle to start, but this one doesn't allow that. It doesn't have support for Pandora, constantly tells you you can't use anything when you are driving (when else would you be using it?), and constantly has you agree to user terms. If listening to Spotify and you turn off the vehicle, it won't let you resume your program.

Logging in has been a real problem recently. It has changed so that now it requires a 2 part verification. I have tried to update my email address several times and tried updating the app not to require the 2 part verification. It never works. Once you get into app, switching between vehicles doesn't always work and you have to do it at least twice. And once on the app, it sends multiple usless notifications, slowing the whole process down.

After the latest upgrade, the app is slow and glitchy. It used to be better. Launch the app and flashes about 3 times before it loads. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and no luck. Galaxy S9. Update: Quick response by support took care of the issue. Not sure what they did but it helped. . Update 1/29/25 "Unable to deliver the full app experience right now, please try again soon" This has been showing up a lot in the last 6-8 weeks when I launch the app. Not Happy GM...

myGMC is dumb. It uses my home WiFi to function. It disconnects from my home WiFi when I leave home. This triggers a notification on the display that my WiFi connection is lost and does not go away unless I press OK. This forces me to take off my winter gloves while driving to press OK. The benefit I get from this app is so I can remotely start/stop, and lock/unlock my vehicle. My remote already does this without distracting me while driving.

Upon entering the app, it looks good; however, after having to reinstall the app numerous times, it continues to freeze before it even opens. Then after a minute or so, it states that the app isn't workimg and would I like to close app or wait. It COULD be a 4-5 star app because the features appear to be great, but it just doesn't work. Feels like a waste of space on my phone.

Very poor functionality. Response times are so slow that they sometimes feel non-existent. Can't see when the car's already running (that's important because the app is unable to actually start the vehicle on occasion). No notification history so if the doors actually locked you can't tell if you missed the alert. Can't shut the car off once you turn it on. Can't adjust the temperature. In fact, there's more things you can't do with this app than what you can do. No windows. No customization.

App makes me go through verification process multiple times a week. Making you have to go to your email to get the code... to then take it back to the app..... JUST TO LOG IN TO THE APP!!! FOLLOW UP TO THE RESPONSE: A week later and it is still doing it. I'm on the same device. It's multiple times a week I can't simply open the app. It's forcing me to run down to my email, get code verifications and run back to the app to use. But then a handful of times, it works the way any app should

the app is nice ish, but slow, takes forever to load up and show vehicle status, AND you have to pay for it. Ford app is free Edit: update to the response below. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled dozens of times to troubleshoot other issues that eventually got resolved. It's not that, and it's always their tech teams go to solution for any issue with the app

I've been a Sierra EV owner for about a month now, mostly love the truck, but am sorely disappointed with the app. I am routinely kicked out and have to relogin (via being redirected to a website). Currently I have been unable to open the app for the last hour (edit - worked again the next morning). Other features I feel it should have - show open/closed status of tailgate and etrunk, lock/unlock status, turn on/off bed lights, show cabin temp, etc. (edit - what features are under development?)
