App won't even start. Every time I try to start it, a circle just spins. ONCE it actually let me enter login info, then asked again, and again, sending verification codes, then it recognized my user name, but won't start again. So far, this is useless. And I see from other feedback that the issue of it wiping user data hasn't been fixed?? Come on! That's why I stopped using this in the first place. Just as well, since it won't work. And keeps telling me there is an update, but there isn't.
For some reason it keeps giving me an error message when I try to add my cards to use. I don't know wh6 though the cards are already in my actual wallet app it's kinda annoying 😒. I have wiped all my information twice. And I have just deleted and reinstalled the app for it not to work either. I hope this gets fixed soon so I can enjoy using my watch to pay for things instead of having to find my phone in my bag
The app forces the watch to be locked for any function, not just credit card payments. After unlocking, it still requires a PIN for transactions, meaning double PIN entry. It's slower than reaching for a wallet and credit card. Some scanners don't work with it. It's unstable; within a week, it only displayed 'stay connected to phone', blocking payments. The suggested fix is a full reset and reinstallation.
It seems like every time this app is upgraded (frequently) I need to reload card information. It's a pain in the butt when you're trying to use the watch app and discover that it's necessary to go through the process again on the phone, which is then synced with watch. On top of that, the app name seems to evolve as it's updated. Is it Samsung Pay or Samsung Wallet or maybe Samsung Wallet/Pay (watch) or are they all the same? On the plus side, the app is accepted by almost every vender.
I've been using the Samsung Pay app on my Galaxy Watch Active2 for about three months. It has worked exactly as described from the start. I definitely like having the ability to go through a checkout line without touching the card readers. However, some stores require you to press the enter key regardless. The ability to load multiple debit/credit cards is also great feature. I just swipe left or right to find the one I want ro use, and pay! Unfortunately, not all retailers accept Samsung Pay.
Works great if anyone actually has tap to pay around my area, which they don't. I do. It works great. I guess if you want to pay people to count change... Anyway, offer notifications are annoying and seem to turn themselves back on. Other than that, it's a good overall app. Oh and you can add some gift cards, just don't forget you got them on there.
Great, until yesterday. Was working fine for months. All of a sudden, it started getting declined. I contacted my bank, thinking they were at fault. They told me there's no declined transactions on their part and to contact Samsung Pay. Well... I tried to contact them and it worked so well, that I'm trying to do it in a review. Hopefully, they'll get back to me now
Worked great with my Active 2 watch. Can't get it to Connect with my new Galaxy 5 pro. This is so aggravating. It is a main feature of the watch and yet it won't connect. I install the app and when I press start it does nothing. Like the start button doesn't even work. Is there a fix for this? Not sure what changed. I did Uninstall the app a couple of times but it suddenly worked. I also found an install on this device button here and did that. What ever it finally connected and is working.
FIX UPDATE ISSUE. I've been using this for my s10+ and my active. both successfully for awhile. I love it. BUT. I literally just bought a new LTE Watch 4, which seems to be what the new update is for. For some reason, it won't install. Says it's installing, 10-15 seconds later says it's failed. I've done all troubleshooting possible. I hope you guys fix this soon. I imagine it's the update and compatability with the Galaxy S10+. I plan to buy Fold 3, but its gonna be a minute Samsung... come on
I use it to pay OMNY when entering subway stations in NYC. It's great when it works. I find it's 50/50 . I have it as default transportation on Galaxy watch 5. I enjoy this feature. I can just tap the watch without opening Samsung pay first. That's where the issue is. Half the days i tap OMNY and it pays the fare. Other days it's not connecting at the turnstile OMNY and I'm forced to take out my phone and tap, which is a pain when I'm holding up a huge line of people. Please fix the issue!
