My Diary - Daily Diary Journal

Hello! I have premium because I wanted a clean interface but the "on this day" entries keep popping up at the top instead of the ones I have pinned to the top. It's very distracting. I've emailed the developers to see if there's a way to toggle that off but haven't heard anything back. Please, developers, can you update the "on this day" feature to be optional? 🙏

I like the concept but the security is lacking. I wish I would have realized before paying for the lifetime membership. If you don't either close the app completely, the last page accessed still shows on the active app history on Android app manger. It's easy to read and entire journal entry. This is really lacking privacy and security. I am not one that hides my phone, but this is something I want kept Private. Please add an instant lock option, even when the app is just minimized and running.

I love this app! I use it as a gratitude journal. I like being able to add my own photos and the ability to customize each journal entry. I especially love the gallery view, which allows me to look at all the photos and videos I've posted seamlessly. I had an issue with the app and resent the email to the developers, and they were able to help me troubleshoot my phone to fix the issue.

The ads are absolutely invasive and make this app oppressive to use. Unless you plan on paying the subscription, plan on hating this app. You are forced to watch ads between every task you do (create new entry, exit the entry, edit an entry, open/close a previous entry). The ads are annoying and even hijack your phones back button in a way that tapping it takes you to the advertisers page or app instead of exiting the journal altogether. It is incredibly annoying.

It's good because I can vent and it takes it off my chest and not have anyone embarrassed and it wont run out because it's online there are no pages so yeah it's great. No ads as far as I saw and it's so easy to use! Update: there are ads after writing an entry, but it's not too bad. I'm also really happy about that there's a password, so if your friend steals your phone they can't just read everything you wrote.

Ads, asking for ratings, and asking to set reminders is a bit out of control. It's like 4-5 combined of these before you can back out of the app or to a previous page. Other than that, there are a lot of unavailable options on the free version, which I'm totally fine with. It's a great app, simple if you want it to be, smooth. Pretty. I can log my entries and that's all I need at the end of the day, if I want more I'll be fine with paying for more.

Edited review: Yesterday I wrote a 5 star review for this app- I had no ads at all and could add as many photos as I wanted... But today I wasn't able to ad any pictures because you have to have pro to do this. The app doesn't set the date automatically, and even though I had the date correct when I saved it, the app switched it back to September something. I soon realized to use pretty much all of the things on this app, you MUST have premium. There is also CONSTANT adds. I'm pretty bummed.

I cancelled this app within 2 days and they still charged me for a year! I don't like this app. The notifications are excessive and it just doesn't allow you to journal. It asks you to write about something " what do you like about the weather" or " name one thing you like about the morning". I'm livid that I was still charged for a year!!! This app is lame

I love this diary! It's a liberating space for self-expression with an intuitive interface. Inspirational quotes, emojis, and writing templates are great features. The lockable diary with the pattern code and mood statistics chart is also excellent. One suggestion: expand emotion options. There are only 10 feelings to choose from for the event I'm writing. Occasional ads are minor. The backup time takes a very long time... but overall, I'm impressed with this diary's thoughtful features! 🩷

I bought the Pro version of this and it's absolutely worth every penny. I've tried lots of diary / journal apps over the last few years, but they overcomplicate things, give you functionality that is initially fun, but very quickly given up on because it's just not needed. This app is simple, has stickers, themes, you can add emotions and tags, but it's all under your control. You can pick and chose what you want, when you want. I highly recommend you try it.
