Reviews Summary
People generally do not like the Peacock TV app due to frequent technical issues like crashing, buffering, and lagging, as well as poor user interface features such as the inability to remove shows from the "continue watching" list, the forced auto-play function, inadequate support, and an excessive number of ads even for premium subscribers.
Your cancel button at the end of a show doesn't work. Never has! I hate that you don't allow us to remove the auto play. I don't want another video played. Often I tried to pause the video in the last minute of the show, and it's not an option and that's stupid. I want to read very important things listed at the end of some shows and you can't pause or CANCEL. Put cancel on the other side and make it bigger. Allow us to remove auto play to the next show!!
Enjoy the content but the UI is abysmal. Shows can't be deleted from the Continue Watching section. When searching for a show you have to click on the search bar to start typing. The auto-play for the next show cannot be disabled. I'll watch the latest episode of a show, then watch another show. After the second show ends the season 1 episode 1 of the first show starts. Every other streamer is far superior with the UI. Based on all these reviews it's obvious they don't care to fix the problems.
The app, yeah it works as expected. The service, well that's another thing. If you already have YouTube TV or any other cable service, this app/stream is almost pointless. They have minimal unique content and unless you pay for the premium subscription, get ready for a commercial every 8min and start up commercial of almost 3min. My suggestion, wait till what you want is complete and binge it with premium and cancel or find it somewhere else.
The app is constantly crashing, at least 3-4 times a day. Sometimes the entire device needs to be restarted to get it to work. The content is so so, we got in on the black Friday deals to try it out. We're not planning on continuing after the deal period ends...especially with the amount of ads they play. Please, can I pay for a service that sucks that also forces me to watch a ton of bs ads? Great business model guys.

Jumped on for a sale of premium for a year at $19.99. An hour in and decided it isn't worth it. 1.) I'm paying premium and need to watch ads? There are other streamers that are ad free and there are free streamers with plenty of content if I don't care about ads. The regular price of $79.99 is not worth it. I refuse to pay to watch commercials. 2.) Progress isn't saved. So if I need to exit and come back to something later I have to start completely over. Bad interface. I won't be renewing.
I rarely experienced any of the glitches mentioned in some of the comments. The only glitch i experienced was the noise and no picture. I've canceled my peacock subscription, but not because of glitches. But because it's not travel friendly. I have all the other major apps like Max, Hulu, Paramount, etc... and they all work when I'm traveling outside the US. Sure, you have to have a VPN, but still. If and when they fix this issue, I'll gladly rejoin.

The worst streaming app Ive used yet. I only downloaded it to watch Yellowstone and I definitely wont be renewing. The app crashes at nothing, especially if you have it going for background play. I'm only 1 season in and Im honestly asking myself if its worth it to keep fighting the crashes, the commercials (this is worse than cable was), the fact that I have to scroll to find what I am currently watching, the fact that it keeps playing the same episode repeatedly instead of the next one. Bad.

What steps can I take to remove a show from the continue watching bar on your app? Games should only be listed as continue watching if I stopped it mid-game. However, I watched a few games, and they remained on the continue-watching bar for over 4 weeks. I've attempted to fast-forward the games, but they still won't drop. As your app is no longer free, I expect a resolution to this issue.
It's annoying that they make you start your episode over or in a different spot (or even in the previous episode) than where you left off so you have to "fast forward" to get back where you left off, which means you have to watch more adds. Its their way to get you to watch more adds. And it's frustrating. So I watch the 2 adds when I first turn it on, to find out I'm not even picking up where I left off and have to fast forward, then I gotta watch 2 more adds for it to play.

I would not use this app of it weren't the only place to watch some of my favorite shows, it's such a buggy mess I've had to stop my self from throwing my phone, it is unacceptable that I'm 2024 the paid version of this app works worse than Hulu I'm 2014 - when you open the app while in picture in picture mode maybe don't just close the show running, if you leave focus for any time at all when you come back the info bar at the top of the screen permanently sticks there
