Max: Stream HBO, TV, & Movies

I'm not sure why it always takes forever for this to load, I don't think it's an internet issue because this doesn't happen with any other streaming service, but it's quite frustrating. It takes about 10 minutes to start watching something on Max, and that's IF it loads at all. Not even the home screen loads correctly. Pretty disappointing.

95% OF THE TIME NO CONNECTION. I have several movie, and TV streaming apps and this is this worse one I have ever dealt with. I'm constantly getting an error message and my shows will not play. I can go to another movie streaming app and I have no prombles watching whatever they have available so I know it's not my connection causing the issues, it's the MAX app itself.

It's still a terrible, buggy app. The previous version of hbo Max's app was laughable. Always crashed, was choppy & would lock up almost every single time. Now this new "max" app seems to be an extremely MINOR improvement. The app still locks up frequently, but you can get through a 30-minute show without wanting to implant your phone into your coffee table. It, however, still locks up frequently and crashes. It's very disappointing to be paying for an app that is this dysfunctional. 👎

It's infuriating that on top of a fee I have to see repetitive commercials. I wouldn't mind but there is no sleep timer so if I want to go back to scenes or episodes I've seen and need to rewind, I have to watch tons of commercials just to scroll and find the plane I want to watch. It adds so much time. I only watch a few shows if highly acclaimed and recommended by others. I never have the patience to try a new show or watch Standup and other stuff I can get on streaming channels without ads.

There's nothing wrong with the content, but I really hate the app. Whenever I close it to switch to another app or something, and then try to resume whatever I'm watching, I get a blank screen. I then have to close the app entirely, open it, and then go find the show to continue watching it. Lots of unnecessary steps that none of the other streaming platforms make me go through.

The only button that works when watching a show or movie is the pause button. You can not rewind or fast forward. No turning on subtitles either. The show will just keep on playing so you better pay attention. You can use the slider all you like as well. It will move but the show will not acknowledge it. Nothing fixes it. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Not worth your money go somewhere else for shows.

I pay full price and still experience ads from them... While it's for their service that's just annoying and off putting. I'm already on your service paying for no ads, if you're going to show me one for your company, I'm going to be even more pissed. App rarely works well, no good navigation for shows. Overall don't buy or use this. Pirate for free

Half of the anime shows/movies are completely unwatchable do to corrupted files and giving just a green screen. It makes me wonder, "just what am I paying for?" Since that was the allure which got me to shell out over $200.00! This is an unacceptable issue which needs to be fixed if the company expects to keep my money. Thus, only two stars until their content issue is fixed.

Love all the shows and the convenience of the app, but it does lag, freeze and shut down a bit. It's only for a short while, but the interruptions can be frustrating; otherwise, it's great. I also have to dock you a star for holding up Summer Camp Island final season. That was messed up and I miss watching it on Max. Final feedback, make more Adventure Time. Adult Finn, Jake, Marcy, Bubblegum and the rest of the crew. Distant Lands has a lot of potential and should have ran longer js.

I get ads, I do, but when an episode is supposed to be as free & you get a call & go back & suddenly you have a bunch of ads to watch, even though you didn't close it, that's ridiculous. Or, if you accidentally lose where you're at, you have to rewatch ads again, sometimes more than once, that's also ridiculous. I hate this app sometimes
